Find out how to have silky hair without leaving your house
No matter if your hair is curly, wavy, or even naturally straight, you may have heard about hair straightening creams – and you may have been curious to use them. The hair straightening cream is nothing more than a type of creamy lotion that makes the hair smooth, soft, and frizz-free! Today, we will show you how to use it correctly[1]Patil, V. (2020, July 14). How To Use Hair Straightening Cream? STYLECRAZE. https://www.stylecraze.com/articles/how-to-use-hair-straightening-cream/!
But wait a minute! Before you even learn how to use the hair straightening cream, you need to know that there are different types of it. Some are specific to curly hair, while others are ideal for wavy or even already straight hair! Our recommendation is the cream of the Brazilian brand Nazca, “Professional Brazilian Keratin Lotion“. It is suitable for all types of hair – even those with chemistry!
Ok, so let’s move on to how to use hair straightening cream at home[2]InStraight. (2020, December 22). Step by Step Guide to Use Hair Straightening Cream at Home. https://www.instraight.com/best-hair-straightening-cream/how-to-use-hair-straightening-cream/!
- MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR IS CLEAN!
First things first: your hair needs to be clean! So if your hair is in serious need of a wash, make sure you wash it really well before you apply the straightening cream! If you can, use an anti-residue shampoo. After you wash your hair, wrap it up in a towel so the excess water comes out. Your mane must be wet and detangles to receive the cream, ok?
- DIVIDE YOUR HAIR INTO SECTIONS
Now that your hair is all clean and without knots, you need to divide it into parts. Please, DON’T apply the cream to your hair without dividing it! This will make the result far from ideal. So be sure to divide your hair into at least 4 small parts (divide into more parts depending on the thickness of it, okay?).
One tip is to divide the hair in the center and then divide each side portion into two equal parts! And to ensure that the parts are well separated throughout the process, secure them with clips and use a brush or comb to help you!
- APPLY THE STRAIGHTENING CREAM
Now is the time you’ve been waiting for! After your hair is properly divided, place a small amount of cream in your hand and apply it to one of the sections. Apply NEXT to the root, but not on it – give a ¾ inch distance. Now run your fingers over the hair section that already has cream on it to make sure that all the hair strings are with the product!
Repeat this process throughout the hair, and to ensure an even better result, run a comb through the hair sections! This will help you distribute the cream evenly.
- GIVE IT SOME TIME
After applying the cream, you need to let it act. If your hair is normal, without chemicals, and you do not have a sensitive scalp, let the cream act for 20-30 minutes! If your hair is dyed or chemically treated, leave the cream for a maximum of 20 minutes, okay?
ATTENTION: This is a general time measurement. Make sure to always follow the instructions on the packaging of the product you are using!
- WASH YOUR HAIR
After the cream has been on for at least 20 minutes, it’s time to wash your hair! Make sure to use lukewarm water and DO NOT use shampoo or conditioner. Use only water to remove all residue from the product! After rinsing off the product, use a towel to remove excess water from your hair.
- BLOW DRYING TIME
When your hair is cream-free and damp, get ready to use a hairdryer! With the hairdryer and a straightening brush, dry your hair part by part. If you want to, you can use a flat iron after your hair is dry! In this process, the straightening properties of the cream will be activated and provide you with soft, straight, and frizz-free hair!
It’s easy to straighten your hair without having to go to a salon, isn’t it? This straightening cream technique is perfect for women who want smoother hair in no time.
