- HONEY, WATERMELON AND POTATO MASK
Although they have nothing to do with each other in terms of a food recipe, these 3 ingredients are simply DIVINE for the skin! Honey is an incredible natural emollient – you will see that it is present in several recipes here on the list – while watermelon has a lot of water and vitamins in its composition. And the potato has several nutrients that collaborate to give a healthy aspect to the skin!
To make the mask, you will need…
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- ½ watermelon slice
- 1 potato
First, you will cook the potato and then, mash it (just like mashed potato). Then, crush the watermelon in it and add the honey! Now just apply on the face, let it act for 20-30 minutes, and rinse!
- ALOE VERA FACE MASK
Ah, aloe vera! This plant is a gift from nature to us, lovers of skin and hair care. Aloe vera is wonderful for soothing sensitive skin, helping with burns and bruises, as well as being perfect for a day when you were exposed to the sun! And as you can already imagine from its watery consistency, aloe is very moisturizing! So, nothing makes more sense than an aloe vera mask, right?
The ingredients needed to make the mask are 1 tablespoon of aloe vera extract (it in its natural aspect, in gel or powder) and ½ tablespoon of honey! Just mix it all up in a pot and apply it to your face. Leave on for up to 30 minutes and then just wash your face!
- AVOCADO FACE MASK
In addition to being wonderful in guacamole, avocado is an ingredient already well known for its moisturizing and calming properties. Because it is rich in antioxidants and healthy fats, it helps to eliminate toxins, keeping your skin healthy and beautiful!
To make the avocado mask, you can simply smash it and apply it to your face. However, we will teach you a more “powerful” version. For it, you will need:
- 1/2 of an avocado
- 3 tablespoons of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of honey
After mixing all the ingredients in a bowl, apply them to the clean skin of your face and let it act for up to 15 minutes. Rinse your face and enjoy the feeling of softness!
- HONEY, CINNAMON AND LEMON JUICE
As we mentioned before, honey is a very powerful ingredient and is present again in this recipe for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing properties! Cinnamon is antimicrobic and antioxidant, while lemon is rich in vitamin C! Wonderful, isn’t it?
But beware: this recipe calls for caution when using the other two ingredients, which are very strong and can end up irritating the skin. So, wear this mask with prudence and use sunscreen if you are leaving the house afterward!
Let’s go to the ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of lemon
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Mix it up and apply it to your face! In the beginning, it will feel wet, but after about 5 minutes it will settle to your skin. Leave it acting for about 15 minutes and rinse your face really well! And DON’T forget the sunscreen!
- BROWN SUGAR AND COCONUT OIL
If you feel your skin is in need of exfoliation, this mask is for you! Brown sugar is a natural exfoliant that has glycolic acid, contributing to smooth and shiny skin! Coconut oil, a very popular ingredient in the world of beauty, will promote high-quality hydration!
The necessary ingredients are as follows:
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
Just mix them together and you will have a really nice scrub. Massage it a bit and let it act for about 15 minutes. After that, wash your face and feel how smooth it is!
